I hate to poop on Nintendo’s parade on their big day, but I couldn’t keep this injustice a secret any longer.  (sorry)

Now that people finally have their hands on the DC Comics character brawler, Injustice: Gods Among Us, reports are suggesting that the Wii U version is missing some features that are present in the 360 and PS3 versions.  For example, content unlocked in the recently released iOS game of the same name is supposed to transfer over to the console versions and vice versa, but that perk seems to be absent on the Wii U release.  And check out the recent Twitter post from Giant Bomb’s Jeff Gerstmann :

On top of all this there is some question to whether or not the Wii U version of Injustice will have access to upcoming DLC.  The box says yes.  Warner Bros said no.  I have no idea what’s going on, but this wouldn’t be the first time DLC has come into question on the Wii U.   Where’s the DLC for The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct or Black Ops 2 or Mass Effect 3 that’s available for the 360 or PS3?  Grrrrrrrrrrr.

The Wii U version of Injustice does support off-TV play and the ability to display the “moves” list on the gamepad, but is that enough to steer people away from the PS3 and 360 versions, given the choice?  I’ve been rooting for the Wii U to succeed and be a worthy contender amongst current gen consoles, but as a serious gamer, it looks like I’ll only be using the Wii U for exclusives from now on.  Too bad.
