The Blade Wolf DLC pack for Metal Gear Rising has been announced by Konami, declaring it to be the third addition to the title. Recently, players have been able to play as Jetstream Sam and experience the story from his perspective. Now that his part is over, Blade Wolf may now step into the spotlight. Initially, this robotic canine was an enemy to Raiden but eventually joined his cause to find answers.

On May 14th, Xbox 360 owners can experience the power Blade Wolf demonstrated during his battle with Raiden firsthand. PS3 owners have to wait one day before they can finally test out the agile robotic canine. The DLC pack will cost 560 MS Points and roughly around $6.00 on the respected consoles.

What this DLC seeks to accomplish is to explain what happened before Blade Wolf met up with Raiden; expanding on his untold origins. New weapons and abilities will be added to give Blade Wolf a different feel from Raiden and Sam altogether. Even better is the addition of a new boss battle. MGR did an exceptional job with making boss fights fun and heart-pounding. Here's to hoping that streak continues.

I love Revengeance, so any reason to go back is good in my book. The chance to play as Blade Wolf excites me because I remember the boss fight with him and how incredibly dangerous he was. If that same sensation can be captured and made playable; I'll be hooked even more so. Plus I have been curious about Bladewolf's origins anyway.
