Good Guy Blizzard fixes auction house, gives funds to charity

Last week Blizzard's new patch for Diablo 3 broke the auction house, and today they were finally able to fix the exploit and put the auction house back up. But wait, there's more! Not only did Blizzard fix the bug causing the issue but they decided to donate any money they earned from the exploit to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

This resulted in an overflow on cancelled auctions that yielded a greater amount of gold in return. Only a relatively small number of players had the billions of gold necessary to exploit the bug, and only 415 of those players chose to use this exploit for personal gain.

Blizzard has taken action on these players by banning them or rolling back their accounts as a measure of punishment.

So, banning unscrupulous players and donating to charity? Good guy Blizzard to the rescue!
