Unlike the original Payday, Payday 2 is accompanied by a retail copy in addition to the digital form. Available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC via Steam, the sequel can be purchased how ever one chooses. Not only was it a smart move to branch out towards multiple consoles but by making a disk version, gamers not connected to the internet can still enjoy the crazy heists performed in Payday 2.

"We have a bit of a problem here at Overkill - there are just too many great ideas and none that we were really happy to throw out - so Payday 2 has become just too big to reserve release on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network alone," said Payday 2 director David Goldfarb. With all these ideas brewing at Overkill, hopefully we have access to a ton of content for the game.

Right now, it is unknown if the retail copy will go for a different price from the digital download. IGN reached out to 505 Games and a representative responded “at this time the price for the title (both downloadable and boxed) is still TBD.” There doesn't seem to be a need for different pricing but regardless, we'll update the story once we hear something official. Be sure to check out the gameplay footage for Payday 2 at the bottom of this article.

Big fan of the original Payday here, so count me in for being excited beyond belief. I have plenty of great memories playing Payday late at night with my friends and just having an all around good time. I'm glad it's coming to the 360 and hopefully, we'll get to see plenty of heists to undertake with friends.
