Wolfenstein Making A Return
You know those screenshots Bethesda was showing off over the weekend with the hashtag "1960" attached? No longer does one have to guess where the screenshots came from because today, Bethesda announced Wolfenstein: The New Order will be arriving sometime in the fourth quarter of this year. Available for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and next-gen consoles, this Wolfenstein seeks to create an unforgettable FPS that's sure to stand out. The New Order is a "reimagining" of the franchise, which is promised to deliver the same action-adventure shooter feel from the previous installments.
Wolfenstein: The New Order is being developed by MachineGames and this studio knows their way around action-adventure shooters because it contains former Starbreeze Studio members. Starbreeze Studios is best known for their work concerning The Darkness. “We are excited to bring a new chapter of Wolfenstein to gamers everywhere,”
said creative director at MachineGames Jens Matthies. “As fans of the
series, working on this game is an honor, and our team is driven to
create an unforgettable action-adventure experience that will make FPS fans proud.” Check out the announcement trailer down below and see if Wolfenstein might make a difference.
More information regarding Wolfenstein: The New Order will be on the way within a few day.
Wolfenstein never had an appeal to me. I never played any of the games nor did I have the desire to. With Wolfenstein: The New Order, I doubt my feelings towards the franchise will change. Of course, it could become something worth checking on especially since MachineGames is the driving force here. I loved The Darkness, so there is some good potential for The New Order
