Electronic Arts released their financials today for their investors, and there were some interesting things to take away from it. ​EA's digital strategy, while taking a lot of criticism from hardcore gamers, has obviously been working as they saw their non-GAAP digital net revenue rise 36% to $1.7 billion. EA was also the #1 publisher in Western retail markets in the March quarter, and the #1 global publisher in the iOS game market for FY 2013.

Wii U Miss Target Shipments, Projected At 9M For Next Fiscal Year

Nintendo has released their financials for the fiscal year today, and one of the biggest things to come out of that is the Wii U missing its target of shipping out Wii U hardware. Nintendo only shipped 3.45 million units, which is down from the projected 4 million which was also down from an early projection of 5 million units. Nintendo admitted the Wii U failed to "maintain initial sales momentum" due to game delays, but feel confident that they will ship 9 million by year's end once they release some "key Nintendo titles."​
