Downloadable Roundup for September 16, 2012

Another week has passed, and we’ve gotten more downloadable games for our consoles. Let’s list ‘em off just in case you missed one.

I will only cover US releases for now. If there’s demand for other regions, we could cover those, too.

Also, let’s work in alphabetical order, using the console manufacturer.

Microsoft – Xbox Live Arcade

  • Double Dragon Neon – September 14, 2012 – 800 points

In 16 levels strung together on a world map, Billy and Jimmy will thrash tons of thugs on their way to save the fair maiden Marian. Classic brawler gameplay is matched with equipment to customize your pummeling strategy.

  • Joe Danger 2: The Movie – September 14, 2012 – 1200 points

You’ll find a variety of gameplay styles, from platformer to racer, all wrapped up in a movie set package.

  • Red Johnson’s Chronicles – One Against All – September 12, 2012 – 800 points

From Lexis Numerique, developer of the Wiiware title Learning with the Pooyoos, comes a noir-inspired point and click adventure game. A price is on Red Johnson’s head, and you’ll need to employ some investigation skills as well as some beating people up skills.

  • Kinect Sports: Season 2 – September 11, 2012 - $29.99

Now supporting a boatload of languages, you can download this Kinect collection of sports titles.

  • Max Payne 3 – September 11, 2012 - $59.99

Max Payne is back with all of his old John Woo tricks in this third person shooter. This time, you’ll find a grizzled Max Payne trying to escape his past.

  • Zumba Fitness: Rush – September 11, 2012 - $39.99

Using your Kinect, dance to tunes and customize a workout program.

DSiWare

  • Bookstore Dream – 200 points

If you’ve ever wanted a bookstore simulation game, here it is. You’ll need to keep books in stock and arrange the layout of your store in order to draw the most customers.

3DS eShop

  • Fractured Soul - $11.99

This platformer has you play on two different screens at once. You’ll need to warp between screens to avoid obstacles and catch platforms. There’s leaderboards for speedruns, too.

  • Heavy Fire: Special Operations 3D - $4.99

This one is a remake of a Wiiware game. Here, you can take on six rail shooter missions with powerups to buy and weaponry to unlock.

3DS Virtual Console

  • Mystical Ninja starring Goemon - $2.99

No platforming here, but not to worry—this time, Goemon is in an action RPG full of towns to roam, enemies to beat senseless, and puzzles to solve.

FIFA Street takes EA’s football franchise and focuses it on how it’s played in the streets all around the world.
