GaminForCharity is a group of dorky friends from Southeast Michigan who love video games way too much for our own good. Since 2009, we’ve been doing weekend or week long video game marathons, and streaming them live, for all the world to see.
In the past, we’ve donated over $1000 to Child’s Play, and the St. Jude’s Children’s research center, to try and help out in any small way we can. This weekend, we have a very special charity we’re donating to, The Multiple Sclerosis Accelerated Cure Project, a wonderful charity that takes a unique approach to searching for an MS cure.
Teresa C. Price is the mother of one of our members, Alex. He had this to say.
“My mother, Teresa Catherine Price, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis nearly 25 years ago, when she was pregnant with my older brother Maxwell. The prognosis was not good. No one could predict what would happen. They said one day she would lose her ability to walk, they just didn’t know when.
My mother is now 47, and still trucks up and down the stairs every single day. I’m more proud of her than I can possibly express. We’ve spent the last two days trying like crazy to put this chairty together, so please, please take the time to donate as little or as much as you can manage. Every cent is important!
Thanks to all the support from friends and family over the years. Lots of love from the Price family, and everybody here at GaminForCharity, who have donated way more than just their time to this cause!”
All of us at GaminForCharity are super grateful for all the love and support we’ve received. We’ll try to set up charity drives as often as possible (usually only once or twice a year, unfortunately, we all have schedules to work around. Thanks for all you guys have done for us, and be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter, and keep watching our stream as we continue GAMIN FOR CHARITY.
