Holiday Price Cut For Xbox 360 Consoles

These holiday bundle packs are only available for a limited time. A Microsoft’s spokesperson provided IGN with this statement: “The recent price reductions on select Xbox 360 consoles and bundles are a part of our great holiday pricing promotions available for a limited time this holiday season. Stay tuned for more details.”

So what’s the deal with this special offer? Well, Microsoft announced a $50 price cut for Xbox 360 but more importantly, Microsoft unveiled two bundles priced at $250. These two bundles target both hardcore gamers and families.

The first bundle includes a 250GB Xbox 360 and contains a download voucher for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and a copy of Forza Motorsport 4. The bundle also comes with a headset and a controller. The second bundle offers a 4GB Xbox 360, a Kinect sensor and copies of both Kinect Adventures and Kinect Disneyland Adventures. Included in both sets is a free one month of Xbox Live, Hulu Plus and Epix Movies.

You may have also noticed that the Wii dropped in price today as well. This could be due to the fact that Nintendo is preparing for the arrival of their new console; the Wii U. Microsoft may be doing the same since rumors say the next Xbox is to arrive sometime in September 2013.

We’ll just have to wait and find out.
