Konami's Pre-E3 Show
Konami’s Pre-E3 Show (which was pre-recorded) aired on Gametrailers.com a few minutes ago. Various announcements were made during the 30 minutes. First of all, Konami is expanding into the social gaming with games such as Frogger Pinball, Puzzle Chasers, & Twilight Carnival. Frogger Pinball is also available on iOS devices. Frogger Classic, a re-release from Konami will be released on the Chrome Web Store. A new long term partnership with Zynga was also mentioned by Konami.
Next was a first look into PES 2013. Pro Evolution Soccer is being completely revamped in this new installment with more refined graphics and physics. Unique new movements and various players having their own distinct style of play are other new additions. A new dribbling system and defense system will provide fresh and new gameplay, according to the developer. A social networking app, My PES, will be available most likely at launch. Not many details were talked about the new app but its assumed it will be some sort of stat tracker to the game.
Zone of the Enders HD Collection was next on the agenda. Series producer, Hideo Kojima expressed his love for the series and although Z.O.E 3 was not talked about at all, the HD Collection will include a new anime opening by Japanese animation studio, Sunrise, which can be seen on YouTube right now as well as a demo for the upcoming Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Zone of the Enders HD will be releaed on the Xbox 360 and PS3 this fall. Speaking of which, a new trailer for Metal Gear Rising was revealed. The trailer itself showed off incredible action sequences, courtesy of Platinum Games. A release window for early 2013 was announced for Metal Gear Rising. The 25th anniversary of Metal Gear is being celebrated this year. The Smithsonian museum hosted an exhibit revolved around the history and art of the video game. Metal Gear was one of the games presented. Hideo Kojima, creator of Metal Gear was deeply grateful to the fanbase of Metal Gear as well.
Last but not least, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 was announced with a 3 minute CGI trailer that possibly already sparked interest in many. Mercury Steam has returned to develop the sequel, however, a release date is unknown. A teaser was lastly shown for the already leaked Castlevania: Mirror of Fate for the 3DS. A full trailer will be revealed June 5th, next week. There you have it. Konami’s Pre-E3 show in a nutshell. Not too much was shown but we do look forward to next week even more now because of it.
