New Mass Effect 3 DLC Soon, New ME Game in the Works
Aaryn Flynn, the General Manager of BioWare Edmonton and Montreal, shared news of upcoming Mass Effect 3 DLC today. In addition to Omega, which is due this fall, there are other single-player packs coming “throughout the next six months,” said Flynn. He noted that more multiplayer DLC is in the pipeline, as well.
However, the announcement of an entirely new Mass Effect game is perhaps more interesting. Flynn had nothing concrete to say, sharing only that “our teams have plans for another full game.”
Flynn mentioned that Mass Effect executive producer Casey Hudson “continues to oversee the development of our new Mass Effect project,” but also said that “he and his leads are putting together their vision for an all new game set in a fictional universe, built from the bottom-up with all new gaming technology.”
The news came in a blog post on BioWare’s official blog giving a fond farewell to Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk, who recently retired from game development.
