New Smash Bros., Mario Kart and Mario 3D Game to be Shown at E3

Continuing today’s assault of Nintendo news, a new Smash Bros. game, Mario Kart and a un-named Mario 3D game will be shown off at E3 this year.

Regarding the new Smash Bros. game; Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said that he’s aware that fans have been waiting for more news on it and confirmed that the “first screens” will be shown at E3. Iwata said development is “on track” for both Wii U and 3DS and asked fans to “wait just a little bit longer.”

Iwata also announced a new 3D Mario game for Wii U in development from EAD Tokyo who previously developed Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Super Mario 3D Land. Iwata said the game is an “action game” and will be playable at E3.Safe bet here would be Galaxy 3 but we will know for sure come E3.

Nintendo also announced that a new installment in the Mario Kart franchise will be making its way to the Wii U. No more information was given.
