The PlayStation Store Upgrade Is Delayed For North America & Brazil

-Marcus Lawrence

Well I have some bad news for PS3 owners in North America; the PlayStation Store update has been pushed back. The Upgrade is no longer coming out on October 23rd. Instead, Sony has indefinitely postponed the arrival of the upgrade and no hint of when it will be seen has been giving. On the PlayStation Blog, Sony Computer Entertainment’s VP Eric Lempel informed people that while the update has been launched in Australia, New Zealand and parts of Europe last week, it still had some problems.

The upgrade was supposed to arrive for the rest of us this Tuesday. However, we now have to wait until the current problems of the update have been fixed.

“While we’ve already solved many of these issues, we’ve decided to postpone the October 23rd launch of the new store in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil,” Lempel wrote. “We want to be certain that you have an exceptional experience with the new store, so we appreciate your patience as we complete the final phases before launch. We’ll update you as soon as a new release date has been set.”

Once we learn of the new launch date, we will let you know ASAP.
