The PS3 Only Has Sony's Support Until 2015
Earlier today, Sony’s VP of hardware marketing John Koller revealed that the company will support the PS3 until at least 2015 with a great deal of first-party content. “A lot of great content is coming,” Koller suggested, continuing, “And over the next 2-3 years, the PS3 has got an incredible lineup.”
With his interview at Gamespot, Koller also stated “We’re going to continue supporting the PS3 for the next few years. Absolutely. And we’re going to continue supporting it not only that long, but as long as there is a development spigot that’s running hot. And I can tell you right now, the development spigot for PS3 is very hot. A lot of great games coming.”
A lot of great games is right; between exclusives and non-exclusives, the PS3 definitely has a great line-up. Beyond: Two Souls, Watch Dogs, Injustice: Gods Among Us, that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Most likely, there will be some kind of lapse with the PS3 and “PS4” that is to come. For now, we can only wait and see what these great games will consist of.
