Want To Beta Test For Valve?
At this moment, Value is seeking Beta testers for hardware and software. The survey (which can be found on their site here) is polling for interested candidates wanting the positions. Valve’s very own Burton Johnsey expresses that the company is “looking for folks to come to Valve and playtest both released and unreleased versions of our games as well as play around with some of our hardware prototypes.”
Burton also notes that “most sessions last around an hour” and how the company is looking for people close to the Washington headquarters in the Seattle/Bellevue area. Don’t be sad for all of you who don’t live in the area; Burton welcomes anyone to fill out the survey as “we may have plans for remote playtests in the future,” however, he adds “We are looking to add international support in the future. For now though, playtesting will be US only.”
While specific dates for the testing have not been announced yet, Valve says the hardware beta could come as soon as next year. Since Valve’s hardware plans are been talked about a lot lately, there is one question that raises a flag. What unfinished games could Valve be referring to? Speculations say that it could be Half-Life 3. Only time will tell.
