Bachelorette - Indie October
So yesterday I watched the Bachelorette. It's a comedy about a group of friends who become bridesmaids of the friend (Rebel Wilson) they least expected to get married. The bridesmaids are played by Lizzy Caplan (Party Down), Kirsten Dunst (Spider-man Trilogy), and Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers, Hot Rod). It has some a pretty great supporting cast of James Marsden (X-Men), Adam Scott (Parks & Recreation), and Horatio Sanz (Saturday Night Live) Hayes MacArthur (Perfect Couples), and Kyle Bornheimer (Perfect Couples). There are some pretty funny moments right from the start Gena (Caplan) - pronounced Jenna - has a pretty indepth blowjob conversation with a random stranger (Sanz) on an airplane. Where Katie (Fisher) and Gena are still into partying like they were in high school and college while Becky (Wilson) is trying to move on and grow up. Regan (Dunst) feels like even though she is trying to grow up that nothing is actually happening in her life. The group of friends used to be called the B-faces and were essentially the mean girls in highschool and it seems like they're not ready to give up that role. They end up having a big debaucherous night including coke, ruining the wedding dress, and going to strip clubs. I really don't want to spoil the movie for anyone, so all I'm going to say is that you should watch it as it's hilarious and screwed up all at the same time. There's also a lot more beneath the surface of all the relationships with people such as the one between Gena and Clyde (Scott). It's available right now through streaming services such as Amazon, Zune (Soon to be Xbox Video), and iTunes. So, check it out!
